#Amwriting SLOWLY

Man, it’s been a rough few weeks. I have a story coming due soon, and I’m having a problem motivating myself.  Why?

I love the characters.

I love the storyline.

I’m not having plot problems.

So why is writing so darn difficult lately? Perhaps it’s because I have 2 deadlines overlapping and the stress is getting to me. Maybe it’s because I’m tired at night and haven’t been making up my slack by working into the wee hours. Or maybe it’s because I’m not getting enough exercise, so my brain is wonky from a lack of movement.

In any case, I’m drinking more coffee and forcing myself to type. It’s one of those days, when writing for some reason is difficult, that I remind myself I don’t want to do anything else but surround myself with my characters in the world I create.

For all you out there who think it’s just you having a difficult time putting words down, you’re not alone. I’ve been doing this for eleven years and it doesn’t get any easier.

Time to focus once more…
